Karolina Zubel

Karolina Zubel is a climate and energy analyst with 6 years of experience on the topic. She holds a MSc in European Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA from the University of Warsaw and Sciences Po Paris. Currently, apart from serving as Energy & Climate Economist at CASE, she is a PhD researcher at the Warsaw School of Economics and a Pioneer into Practice with Climate-KIC. Her work has been at the intersection of smart and eco cities, sustainability and innovation as well as new financial instruments for pressing urban challenges. She took part in numerous projects for the European Union bodies, Polish ministries and private sector. Prior to CASE, Karolina was a Head of Impact Research Hub at ImpactCEE, leading stakeholder engagement projects across a range of horizontal issues related to climate, energy and transportation. Previously, she has also worked for the European External Action Service and the Polish Institute of International Affairs. Moreover, Karolina represents the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community, working mainly on projects ensuring green and sustainable development of local communities.
