Mateusz Piróg

Mateusz Piróg – Urban planner, Editor-in-Chief at Urbnews.pl, urban news portal focused on spatial planning issues. A graduate of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies in the field of Spatial Management at the University of Warsaw. He gained experience during research in the area of ​​Urban Design at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona. Involved in development projects, including The Zodiak Pavilion in Warsaw, the area near the railway in Ronneby (SWE) or the revitalization of the Ringön post-industrial areas in Gothenburg (SWE). He specializes in shaping urban public spaces in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and in the Smart City transport sector.

Mateusz is the leader of the foresight agreement between the University of Warsaw and the Upper Silesian Metropolis – under which he conducts research according the new location factors in the context of introducing urban air mobility over the metropolis, additionally he creates recommendations for the implementation of drone services over cities.
