Prof. Dr Norma Raynes

Prof. Dr Norma Raynes is a Social Entrepreneur and Director of the NGO:  From Generation to Generation. Its purpose is to enrich the lives of children, young people, and older retired adults by bringing them together to collaborate in their neighbourhood for their mutual benefit and have fun.

She held the Chair of Social Care at Salford University, was the Dean of the Institute of Health and Social Care there, Chair of a Primary Care Trust, a government adviser, school governor and teacher. In America she worked at Harvard, MIT, and Eunice Kennedy Shriver Centre for people with learning difficulties.  She has written books and academic papers, stories for children and many sketches.

Her research focused on how quality could be improved in services especially, for children and older people, and in finding practical ways in which they could help define what quality means to them and programmes could be built and sustained.
