UMSA 2021 is an independent, multinational networking conference, where Urban Mobility and all related ageing issues are in the spotlight.

A fresh and innovative contemporary approach – having accumulated more than 20 years of experience in Conference Business, UMSA is a product of the partnership between Warsaw-based PCO Mazurkas Congress Management and Webinext, web-event and content management specialists.

A unique event where strengths and synergies of physical conference management and web intelligence are bundled as well as practical experience of compiling and scheduling issues linked to social and health topics in an unbiased and independent way – these all is the cradle of UMSA.

Mobility has become one of the key issues in society today. Environmental problems and pandemic effects lead to changes in transportation, the quality of life in urban communities, and the development of urban clusters. At the same time, the ageing challenge triggers a profound impact on the social fabric of cities.

By 2030 all major urban centres in the OECD will see a sharp increase in the number of elderly – the share of aged 60 and above will grow from 30% to 39%. For the first time in history, the elderly will be the largest age group by 2045.

The global ageing of urban populations calls for more age-friendly approaches to be implemented. Cities will need to adapt and develop a number of short and longer-term strategies, integrating assistive technologies, to ensure they respond adequately to both the challenges and opportunities that an ageing population present.

All these challenges affect government and community engagement, and additionally the huge universe of R&D, innovation, business and corporate solutions linked to it.

Giving a direct answer to the actual COVID-19 situation and its implications for social meetings, the organizers decided to design and develop a new hybrid and virtual conference where interdisciplinarity and global relationships can take place. Social and corporate networking will continue in a trustful and qualified way!

Thus, the Urban Mobility and Smart Ageing Conference and Exhibition will open doors for a new and modern know-how exchange. Cutting-edge innovations, interdisciplinary research, scientific progress, business and governmental strategies will find its embedment in UMSA.

With the support of a number of international content partners, the Mazurkas-Webinext team invites speakers who are well-known in the scientific community as well as the international industry experts to submit the presentation proposals linked to UMSA panel topics. We are pleased to integrate independent proposals for each listed conference cluster and share the conference voice with you. In this context the final conference program will be shaped during the following weeks, so stay tuned online.
