Dr Anna Okońska-Walkowicz

Dr Anna Okońska-Walkowicz graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the Jagiellonian University in the field of pedagogy. She was awarded with the academic degree of doctor of humanities by the Council of the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the Jagiellonian University.

In 1987-2014 she was an academic teacher at the Faculty of Humanities of the AGH University of Science and Technology. As part of her social activity, she founded the J. Słowacki Community of Social Schools STO in Krakow and managed it for 16 years.

In 2011-2013 she was the Deputy Mayor of the City of Krakow for Education and Social Policy, and then in 2013-2015 the President’s Plenipotentiary for Social Policy. Currently Dr Anna Okońska-Walkowicz is the Mayor’s Plenipotentiary for Senior Policy, Member of Polish Society of Gerontology and Civic Educational Association.
